A Political Purim Series: Reading Antisemitic Conspiracy Theory in Megillat Esther

In this 5-session series not only we will explore the histories of antisemitism, fascism and conspiracism but also the psychology of how people are pulled into thought patterns (and with time, movements) built around these concepts. We also will take time over several sessions examining how outside groups attempt to interpret Jewish texts to justify persecution of Jewish people and what the Purim story can teach us today about defeating contemporary organized hate movements.
